Great Gentle Retinol Worth The Price Tag
I actually use this as part of my morning skin care routine under my moisturiser and haven't noticed any pilling with my makeup or reactions with other skin care/make up products. I use a higher dose Medik8 vitamin A cream at night; guess I just want the maximum anti aging benefits of vitamin A 24/7 lol. I think this product is perhaps great for and aimed at a younger 20s-30s demographic who are just getting into vitamin A products and it hits the spot in this regard. Note I've just turned 40 but have a few fine lines & combination skin (some dry patches & oily patches plus hyper pigmentation). I've noticed quite an impressive reduction in uneven skin texture, fine lines, acne breakouts & hyper pigmentation albeit this will also be due to the Medik8 I'm using at night so it's hard to differentiate what product is doing what. Overall, I'm happy I added this in as an additional extra gentle vitamin A to give my skin an extra boost. Personally I love fragrance in my skin care but there's minimal fragrance to this & it doesn't smell off putting like some retinol products. If you're my age or more mature I'd say you probably want to use a stronger retinol but for a younger demographic or someone looking to 'top up' their current skin care routine I'd say it's a fabulous product. The packaging is so cute & lux feeling for the price. A little also goes a long way so this won't run out quickly. Note I paid for this product with my own money & wasn't sponsored to write a review. One star off as I prefer a stronger retinol but nevertheless it fulfills the purpose I intended for it to be used for. Perhaps your skin needs a break from retinol during the day but, hey, I haven't noticed any adverse side effects so I'm persevering with it. Overall a good affordable option for someone starting out on their retinol journey or aiming at prevention as many do in their 20s & 30s. If you're looking for this to work miracles however, or a stronger formula, then this product isn't for you. I really do rate all of Glow Recipes products.
